Thank you! Can you verify that reporting junk doesn't block the number, or archive incoming messages from that number? Messages will still come in normally correct?

I imagine this is just a way that multiple people could report the same number. (Fingers crossed)

May want to pass the message on to the Dev/UI team that this is very confusing, and normally this action would lead to "Delete," not "Report Junk." If anything Report Junk should be a secondary option.

I totally agree!!!! The "Report Junk" feature should be a secondary option. Its ridiculous that the method to report junk is the same method used to delete text. We're so accustomed to "delete" being there that if you do it quickly, you dont realize you just hit "Report Junk" by accident. This needs to be fixed! I just Reported my son's icloud account as junk on imessage! Not impressed.

Same thing happened to me. Out of habit I was cleaning through my messages & went to delete them, I instead I reported as junk. I sure hope it doesn’t block/spam those text because the majority of them were people I talk to regularly. The whole report feature needs to be removed!!!

I swear that these overpaid dorky idiots are either on too much Adderall or Coke and don't know anything about common sense when it comes to these dumb unnecessary features. I haven't backed up my iCloud in a while because I'm trying to I maintain a little privacy. So I'm not really sure what to do, does reporting junk actually block people from contacting you via text or calling? Seems like we can't get a straight answer, so pi👿😈

Hey, Izzetta!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you deleted a friend's number and reported the message as junk from within Messages. You want to know how to undo this. I'm happy to help provide you with some information!

Per Block phone numbers and contacts on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch - Apple Support , reporting the message as junk just sends that information to Apple. There's no way to undo it, but it shouldn't affect the use of Messages to/from that person, once you have their number again.

If this person was a contact, their contact card may still be available in the Contacts app. If you deleted it from the Contacts app, but use iCloud, you can check www.icloud.com for the contact. If it's not at icloud.com, but you have a backup that may contain it, you can restore your backup to retrieve the number: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support . You also can get in touch with this friend through other means to obtain their number again, if possible.

Have a lovely day!

Yes I agree. Very confusing and easy to make that mistake. @Apple - please do something to make it not so confusing and trouble some.

Agreed. It took me off guard seeing “Report as Junk”. It seems too easy given that muscle memory is at play here.
